He started studying music at the age of eight in Manzanares (Ciudad Real, Spain). After finishing his Bachelor studies in music under the guidance of Mariano García and Federico Coca at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón (Spain), he moved to Graz (Austria) where he studied a Master Degree in performance practice in contemporary music with Gerald Preinfalk and Klangforum Wien at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Graz.
He has attended many advanced courses with the greatest saxophone professionals – Claude Delangle, Marcus Weiss, Christian Wirth, Vincent David, Arno Bornkamp, Jean-Denis Michat, Philippe Braquart, Lars Mlekusch, Antonio Felipe Belijar, Ensemble Squillante, etc.
He has realized many concerts and contests in Spain and also concerts in France, Germany, England, Holland, Poland, Croatia, Slovenia and Austria. He has as well participated in different academies and festivals like Internationale Ferienkurse für Neue Musik Darmstadt, NJO Summer Academy, Klangspuren International Ensemble Modern Academy, Festival Mixtur or Impuls International Academy. He has played and collaborated with Klangforum Wien, Grazer Philharmonisches Orchester, Schallfeld Ensemble, BlauerReiter Ensemble and Ensemble Drama! among others formations.
However, his studies do not only include the classics as he is also very active in free-improvisation having participated in courses with Alvin Curran, Barry Guy, Karst de Jong, Elliot Sharp, Elisabeth Harnik, Frank Gratkowski, Ceren Oran and Emilio Molina.
He has worked with composers such as Beat Furrer, Klaus Lang, George Aperghis, Mark Andre, Bernhard Lang, Dmtri Kourliandski, Francesco Filidei, Javier Quislant, Jose Pablo Polo, Oscar Escudero, Sehyung Kim among others. And with conductors such as Emilio Pomàrico, Sylvain Cambreling, Ilan Volkov, Bas Wiegers, Etienne Siebens, Nacho de Paz, Armando Merino among others. His performances have been recorded by Radio Clásica de RNE (Spain), BBC (U.K), NPO Radio 4 (Holland), RTV SLO (Slovenia) and ORF (Austria).
